Flux CD support in Lens K8S IDE gives Flux a dedicated Flux entry in the cluster navigator, with a dashboard, list and detail views for every Flux resource kind, and a reconciliation status column on your workloads. Answer questions such as "Is everything reconciled?", "What is drifting?", and "What failed, and why?" from in-cluster data, without using kubectl or the flux CLI.

Key capabilities#

  • Track reconciliation status across the cluster from a single dashboard, with a health banner, summary cards, a Needs attention panel, and a recent activity timeline.
  • Browse every Flux resource kind, including Sources, Kustomizations, HelmReleases, image automation, and notification resources, with dedicated list and detail views.
  • See Flux status on workloads directly in the Deployments, StatefulSets, and DaemonSets lists, without opening Flux resources separately.
  • Cross-reference a resource and its source from a resource's detail view to the objects it manages, the objects that use it, and its source revision.
  • Investigate a resource with Ask AI, launching your configured AI tool against it in natural language.

Reconnect to refresh the Navigator

The Navigator updates during the cluster connection process, when Lens K8S IDE reads the cluster's CRDs. Disconnect and reconnect the cluster after installing or removing them to refresh it.
