Lens Agents FAQ#
Answers to common questions about Lens Agents pricing, licensing, and what's included in each plan.
What counts as an agent-hour?#
One agent using the platform for one hour. For desktop tools and external agents, it's active use time. For managed agents, it's deployed time — a managed agent running 24/7 equals 720 hours/month.
See What Is an Agent-Hour? for the full measurement rules.
Are LLM costs included?#
No. You pay your model provider directly (Anthropic, OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, etc.). Lens Agents tracks LLM usage for managed agents through the LLM proxy but does not mark up provider costs.
Is the local CLI tool free?#
The CLI for running agents locally is free for individual use. Platform features — audit trail, spending controls, identity management — require a plan.
Can I try it before committing?#
Yes. The Standard plan includes 100 free agent-hours. No credit card required to start.
What happens when I hit my spending limit?#
For agent-hours, you're billed at the standard rate beyond the free tier. For LLM spending limits, agents are paused until the budget resets or the limit is increased. See spending controls.
What's included in every plan?#
- All three agent types — desktop AI tools, external agents, managed agents
- All governance features — policies, credential bindings, spending controls
- All connections — Kubernetes, AWS, GitHub, any HTTP system (Salesforce, Jira, Datadog, internal APIs), MCP servers
- Full audit trail
- SSO (SAML and OIDC)
- Multi-tenant administration (orgs, teams, projects)
