  • REST API

    Base path, authentication, pagination, RFC 9457 error format, and where every install serves its own OpenAPI document.

  • CLI

    Every nexusctl command, grouped by resource: auth, sandboxes, policies, bindings, credentials, connectors, clusters, AWS connections, orgs, projects, teams, tokens, and spending limits.

The REST API is the underlying surface. The CLI and the MCP endpoint are both clients of it, and all three enforce the same identity, RBAC, policies, and audit.

  • Set up the CLI — logging in, defaults, and output formats
  • MCP — driving the platform from an AI tool
  • API tokens — non-interactive authentication
