Add Red Hat OpenShift clusters

This page contains brief instructions for connecting to a Red Hat OpenShift.

Prerequisites

• Red Hat account with sufficient subscription and permissions to OpenShift clusters
• kubectl
• OpenShift CLI

Steps

1. Log in to the OpenShift CLI:

   oc login <server-url> --token=<your-token>
   

   After running this, the kubeconfig file is updated.

2. Confirm the update:

   oc config view
   oc config get-contexts
   

After completing these steps, the OpenShift cluster is added to you local kubeconfig file. Then you can open Lens Desktop, and view it in Kubernetes Clusters > Local Kubeconfigs.
