Install Lens Loop#
Lens Loop is lightweight and simple to install on all major platforms. Download Lens Loop and start capturing LLM traffic from your application. This page contains installation instructions for various platforms and covers other related topics.
Loop IDE is available for macOS, Windows, and Linux. When you install the application locally, the Loop Gateway is automatically installed and configured on your machine. If you need to capture data from remote, a standalone installation package for the Remote Gateway is also available.
Sign up for Lens Loop Closed Beta#
During the Closed Beta stage, first sign up for Lens Loop. After signing up, an email with download instructions is sent to your address.
System requirements#
Before installing Lens Desktop, verify that your computer meets the system requirements.
Minimum hardware requirements:
- 2 GHz or faster processor
- 4 GB of RAM
- 1 GB of disk space
macOS#
- Double-click the
.dmgfile and dragLensLoop.appto the Applications folder, making it available in Launchpad. - Control-click the Lens Desktop icon and choose Options > Keep in Dock.
Windows#
Install Lens Desktop by running the Lens.Loop.Setup.<VERSION>.exe installer. The default Lens Loop installation path is either C:\Program Files\Lens Loop or C:\users\<username>\AppData\Local\Programs\Lens Loop.
Linux#
You can install Lens Loop on a Linux-based OS using AppImage:
- Navigate to the directory where you have the file downloaded and right-click the
AppImagefile and select Properties > Permissions. -
Select the Allow executing file as a program check box.
Note
Some file managers might offer to unselect the Is executable check box or other similar actions.

In the Linux command line, navigate to the directory where you have the file downloaded and type the following commands:
chmod +x <FILE-NAME.AppImage> ./<FILE-NAME.AppImage>
Update Lens Loop#
By default, Lens Loop updates automatically. Whenever a new version is available, a notification appears in the application interface.
In-app auto-updates are available for the following distributions:
- exe (Windows)
- dmg (macOS)
- AppImage (Linux)
