Navigator#
The Navigator is your command center for organizing and accessing projects across all environments.
Overview#
The Navigator panel on the left side of Lens Loop shows:
- Environments — Local and remote servers where your traces are stored
- Projects — Collections of related traces within each environment
- Open Tabs — Quick access to views you're currently working with

Environments#
Environments appear at the top level of the Navigator. Each environment can contain multiple projects.

|---|---|
| Local | Built-in environment on your machine |
| Remote | Shared Loop Server your team connects to |
Adding Environments#
Click next to Environments to add a remote environment. See Add Environment for setup instructions.
Projects#
Projects group related traces together. Use them to organize by:
- Application or service
- Feature or experiment
- Development stage (dev, staging, production)
- Team or individual work
Creating Projects#
- Select an environment in the Navigator
- Click next to the environment name
- Enter a project name
Auto-created projects
Projects are created automatically when you send a request with an X-Loop-Project header that doesn't match an existing project.
Project Actions#
Right-click a project to:
- Rename — Change the project name
- Delete — Remove the project and all its traces
Working with Tabs#
When you open a project view (Overview, Traces), it appears as a tab. You can:
- Open multiple tabs — Compare traces across projects
- Reorder tabs — Drag to rearrange
- Close tabs — Click the icon or middle-click
